The Origin RC510 is designed specifically for Rail Car Manway Dome Lid applications. It is a restructured hollow glass microsphere filled PTFE gasket.
Instead of starting with sheet material, it begins as a PTFE tape, which provides similar mechanical characteristics. This tape is then rotated 90 degrees and wound to the final dimensions before being sintered in place. This specialized process significantly enhances the strength and performance of the finished gasket.
